Join us at the upcoming EcoFAB 2025 conference held at the Asilomar Conference Grounds on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, Wed, Aug. 6 through Sat. Aug 9, 2025. Asilomar, meaning “refuge by the sea,” in Spanish, is a peaceful, coastal setting, offering both natural beauty and historic significance. The Conference Grounds, designed by architect Julia Morgan, is a great place to connect with others, and share ideas in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

Asilomar is easily accessible from several nearby city centers. From the Bay Area and its regional airports (SJC/SFO/OAK), it’s about a 1.5 to 2.5-hour drive south via Highway 101 or Highway 1, depending on traffic. For those not driving, the Monterey Airbus (Groome Transportation) offers convenient shuttle service from SJC and SFO directly to the Monterey area (reservations strongly recommended). Additionally, the Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is just 20 minutes away from the Conference Grounds and offers flights from several major West Coast cities. You can reach the conference grounds via the Monterey airbus or a rideshare service.
The coastal fog can make the area a bit chilly so please plan to bring warm clothes and comfortable walking shoes to get around the conference grounds. Parking is free at the conference grounds. Accessibility and safety information is available at: https://www.visitasilomar.com/accessibility. You can find additional general information about area, the park history and the grounds at https://www.visitasilomar.com/
